Derwent London has been recognised on the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2023 within the medium-sized organisation category (50-249 employees). Our average engagement score of 85% was significantly higher than the average industry engagement rating of 71%.

We were scored ‘excellent’ across each of the six workplace engagement categories in the survey, which was completed anonymously by our employees. This accolade is the result of our performance in: reward and recognition; information sharing; wellbeing; empowerment; instilling pride; and job satisfaction.

The survey results were clear with 91% of our employees who responded proud to work for us. Job satisfaction scores were high: 88% of respondents enjoy their job and 86% feel they are employed in a well-run organisation.

Our work on diversity and inclusion (D&I), including our achievement of the National Equality Standard in 2021, was reflected in 87% of respondents agreeing that we care and do all we can to promote D&I.

In line with our target of being net zero carbon by 2030, it was great to see 92% of our employees agreeing that we treat environmental sustainability as a priority and are taking proactive steps towards delivery.

CEO Paul Williams commented: “We are delighted to have been recognised by the widely-respected Sunday Times Best Places to Work and is testament to our fantastic culture . Our people are highly engaged which is vital to the on-going success of the business and our long-term performance.”
